Hi, my name is Jed Pittman. Welcome to my personal website. After a little bit of consideration and a switch to a new hosting provider, I’ve decided to move to wordpress as the platform for my personal website.
As for me, I have worked with computers since I was about 14 years old. I started using AOL back when AOL was the only big player in the Internet Service Provider market. By writing webpages throughout high school and college, I found that I was able to make money. I took those skills and started doing work as Jed Pittman Consulting, a company that I started when I was just out of college.
I am an avid card player. I enjoy poker, canasta, hand in foot, hearts, and bridge. I wouldn’t consider myself expert at any of these games, but I am fairly competitive and enjoy the math aspect of cards.
I also enjoy reading, exercising, and occasionally, playing tennis. Although I work as a developer full-time, I am almost always working on projects in my spare time as well. I’ve found over the years that this really separates me from others in my field since I am able to continue learning outside of my regular job. Other people in technical fields do not always have that luxury.
